Pen and Paper

Obviously when online logging/diary keeping and general website making became available, the trends of technology were very different back then. Backgrounds of black with neon green writing were rife in a kind of lurid cyberspace obscenity. Flashing icons, twinkling cursors and annoying scroll bars were a showcase for the creator's knowledge of 'wacky' html.
Now, I am happy to say that there has been a shift in layout trends. An army of Times New Roman dedicates and minimalists are taking back the territory, with a vengeance might I add. It's been on the uprise, through the blogs and most obviously trough Facebook's utilitarian approach to their page layout.

It's as though we've been through the cyber obsession and come out the other side, now craving to get back to basics with a tactile pen and paper.

This post isn't particularly fashion orientated, but it is trend orientated. And considering we spend so much of our time in our virtual world nowadays, I think its important that what we look at is always aesthetically pleasing.

Take a look at how Cos do it. Divine.

But who am I to talk? If your a big fan of sparkly rose cursors and adorning your page with epilepsy inducing html, who am I to stop you? Please, go ahead. Knock yourself out. Literally.
