My answer is no... But can I keep the ring?

Like most girls, I sometimes find myself thinking about the big day. What dress will I choose? What hairstyle? All decisions that no matter how much you agonise over, are always going to be a bad choice 5 years down the line, and will always prompt the reaction "Oh my god... Who cut your hair? And why didn't you sue them?"

 But choosing an engagement ring has always scared me more than anything else. Why? Because unlike most of the decisions, it is the only one that I am going to have to stare at every day for the rest of my life... (providing there is a lack of slutty secretaries, hot gardeners and general being hit by busses etc)

I've never gone for the traditional H Samuel style stuff, but those are the only ones I'd ever seen. Do I even want an engagement ring if all of the ones out there are so decidedly... normal?
